Instagram: Somebody posted on here that “masks don’t protect you from the virus”…. this is the problem with the internet. This lack of understanding spreads online and the arrogance of people in our society allows this untruth to take hold. See… an individual wearing a mask is not doing it to protect themselves. But EVERYBODY WEARING a mask does so to protect society. Everybody needs to behave as if they have the virus and do not know it. Read that again. YOU MIGHT HAvE THE VIRUS AND NOT KNOW IT. THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE YOU DO! I AM NOT WEARING A MASK BECAUSE I AM AFRAID. I AM WEARING A MASK TO PROTECT YOU! This is the complicated part that so many don’t understand. This is why we have so many cases in USA. The problem is nobody knows if they have covid until they have been tested. So I repeat… you wear a mask “in case YOU already have covid” to PROTECT OTHERS! You are not wearing the mask because you are trying to protect yourself and you are scared. You wear the mask because you are setting and example for those around you. To be part of a team. To encourage everyone else around you to wear a mask. So that the covid carrier without symptoms wear a mask. And this virus goes away. That is a complicated thing for people to understands who are not paying attention. Wear a mask.
