After being nominated by Bubbles from the Trailer Park Boys, I decided to take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and nominated friends Bob Saget, Harland Williams, as well as tonight’s guest on Tom Green Live, Paul Rodriguez!
Check it out!
I couldn’t be more excited about the new show, and the new studio we are building. I’m so excited about it that I am going to start blogging here again on tomgreen.com more regularly. If you haven’t gotten the chance to watch you need to tune in to Tom Green Live on AXS TV Thursday nights. We are live at 9pm eastern taking calls from viewers on Skype and talking with hilarious and interesting guests.
Our first four episodes have been an amazing success and people are really digging the show. Our guests have included Richard Belzer, Howie Mandel, Tony Hawk, Eric Andre and Henry Rollins. It’s been an exciting time. Please thank all of our guests for supporting the show by letting them know on Twitter and other social media.
The detail that you might not get when you watch the show is that these broadcasts are all emanating from my very own Tom Green Studios. I’ve been looking forward to building this studio for a long time. I know many of you miss the old webo-vision Internet shows that I did from my house. This is going to be even better.
Over the last month we have built this cool little facility in Los Angeles. I love the creative process of putting the whole show together. We are trying to create a laid back environment for our guests and shed some of the traditional bullshit of making TV. We have a keg delivered to the show every week from this great bar called Barney’s Beanery. After the show we play some music and hang in the studio with our guests for a while. It’s been really fun.
The plan for the next few months is even more exciting. I am currently installing a Tricaster TV switcher and more cameras and we are going to begin blasting multi-media tweets out to Youtube, Twitter and other social networks. Get ready to be able to interact with the studio in more ways than ever before. We should be communicating more regularly here than we ever did when I had the show in my living room.
Speaking of interaction, please call the show on Thursdays. We need more callers! All you have to do is follow me on twitter and sign up for our Skype team. We give out a Skype address to call every week, and all you have to do is get a hold of us and let us know you want to be on the show. We will take your video Skype calls, feed you into our switcher, and you can be on TV. It’s a lot of fun. Just tweet me if you want to be on the show and I will follow you and set it up.
Get ready for more podcasts. More web video on youtube.com/tomgreen and right here at tomgreen.com – And more blogs.
Please let me know your thoughts on twitter @tomgreenlive
This is going to be a great year gang! Thanks for watching!
I landed in New Zealand today. I am here in the country for the first time and am excited about the next few weeks ahead. I will be performing in Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington. As a Canadian I can already see that it is a lot like home. I always find it interesting when I travel to commonwealth countries because there are surprising similarities in the cities architecture and many of the customs.
But it’s the differences that are more interesting to me anyway. So who cares about all that right mates? Let’s do something ridiculous together! Over the next two weeks I will be out and about talking to people and trying to figure out what makes you Kiwi’s tick. If you want to come find me give me a tweet! I’m pretty addicted to twitter and often check tweets written to me @tomgreenlive – Let’s have a twitter paly a twitter game of hide and go seek! See if you can find me!
I brought my video camera and will most likely be wandering around the city and countryside making short videos for my website and youtube channel. If you are in New Zealand see if you can track me down and be on one of these videos. It’s like a game of “tag” for the techie cell phone addicted social media video generation. In fact if I knew what was good for me I probably wouldn’t be doing this. When you really think about it this, could go horribly wrong. But I have made a lot of bad decisions in my life so why stop now? More often than not my bad ideas have ended up leading to a lot of fun anyway. So let’s play a game New Zealand!
Follow me on Twitter @tomgreenlive and see if you can find me
